Private on land, shared boat

Your day on the island

A private car, driver and English-speaking guide stay with your group across both coasts, with the west coast first.

The crossing

The fast boat between Bali and Nusa Penida is a scheduled service shared with other passengers, about 30-45 minutes each way.

Your day across the island

Ten parts of the mixed route, west coast first and east coast after lunch. Times are examples in Bali time (WITA); the stops that fit depend on traffic and the boat schedule.

  1. Hotel pickup

Around 06:30, before Bali’s roads get busy. Your exact time is confirmed before departure.

  2. Sanur Port

Check in at the harbour for the morning crossing.

  3. Fast boat to Nusa Penida

Cross to the island by fast boat, about 30-45 minutes.

  4. Toyapakeh or Buyuk Port

Meet your island driver and start the private route, west coast first.

  5. Kelingking Beach

The T-Rex-shaped headland from the clifftop viewpoint. The staircase to the beach is steep and takes hours, so the day stays at the top.

  6. Broken Beach and Angel’s Billabong

The rock arch, then the natural pool. Your guide checks the tide and waves before anyone steps in.

  7. Lunch

A local restaurant lunch around 12:30, before the drive across the island.

  8. Diamond Beach

About an hour on the road, then the limestone cliffs and turquoise water of the east coast. Swimming is not allowed here.

  9. Atuh Beach and Tree House

The quieter beach below the cliffs, then the Rumah Pohon viewpoint when the day is running on time.

  10. Boat back to Bali

Return to the harbour by fast boat around 16:30, then continue to your hotel by road.

Bring
Sunscreen, drinking water, cash for toilets and warungs, personal medication, a power bank and a dry bag.
Plan for the boat
Take seasickness tablets before departure if you are prone to motion sickness. The crossing takes about 30-45 minutes each way.

Two coasts in one day

The drive between coasts
The east coast is about an hour from the west side, so lunch marks the halfway point. Heavy traffic can drop the last stop of the day.
Stairs and viewpoints
The Kelingking and Diamond staircases are steep and exposed to the sun. The day stays at the viewpoints unless your group asks otherwise.
Who is coming?
Children can join; operators quote minimum ages of 5 to 6 years and usually advise against guests over 65 to 70. Boat steps, stairs, heat and the length of the day are the parts to weigh up.

Ask on WhatsApp

Mixed Nusa Penida FAQs

Two coasts, group sizes and what the day covers.

Ask on WhatsApp
Can we see both coasts in one day?

Usually not every stop. The day is planned around the west coast before lunch and the east coast after it, and five or six stops fit in a normal day. Traffic or a delayed boat can drop the last stop, so your guide confirms the order on the day.

Is the tour private or shared?

The car, driver and guide on Nusa Penida are private to your group. The fast boat from Bali is a scheduled service shared with other passengers.

How long does the day take?

Allow 8-10 hours from hotel pickup to hotel drop-off, with about 7-8 hours on the island. The fast boat takes around 30-45 minutes each way, and the drive between the two coasts adds about an hour.

What is included in the price?

Hotel pickup and drop-off, round-trip fast boat tickets, a private car, driver and fuel, an English-speaking guide, entrance fees to the confirmed stops, retribution and parking fees, and lunch. Snorkeling, personal expenses, extra drinks and tips are not included.

How much does the tour cost?

The rate is per person and depends on your group size: IDR 1,700,000 for one guest, IDR 1,300,000 each for two, IDR 1,100,000 each for three, IDR 950,000 each for four and IDR 850,000 each for five. Larger groups are quoted in chat.

Can I add snorkeling?

Yes. Manta Bay snorkeling is IDR 350,000 per person and Manta Point is IDR 450,000 per person, on top of the day tour. Manta sightings depend on the sea and weather, and Manta Point has the better chance.

Can we swim at Diamond Beach?

No. Diamond Beach has strong waves and current and swimming is not allowed. Atuh Beach and Crystal Bay are calmer, but the tide and your guide decide on the day.

How is this different from the west or east tour?

The single-coast tours spend the whole island day on one side. The mixed tour covers the headline stops of both, which means more time in the car and fewer stops at each viewpoint.

Is the tour suitable for children or older guests?

Children can join with an adult, but operators quote minimum ages of 5 to 6 years. Many older guests enjoy the viewpoints; operators usually advise against guests over 65 to 70 because of the stairs, heat and length of the day. Tell us about your group in Special request.

When can I cancel?

Cancellations are accepted up to 24 hours before the trip. The itinerary can still change for weather, tide, harbour traffic or fast boat scheduling.

Is my booking confirmed when I open WhatsApp?

Opening WhatsApp prepares a request for you to send. Our team confirms availability, pickup and payment arrangements in chat.
