Hotel pickup

Before you go
- Wear
- Light clothing, safe shoes or trekking sandals for steep stairs and uneven paths, a hat and sunglasses. Add a light jacket for the boat.
- Bring
- Sunscreen, a change of clothes and a towel, a camera or phone, personal medication and cash for the optional Tree House photo.
- Plan for the boat
- Take seasickness tablets before departure if you are prone to motion sickness. The crossing takes about 30-45 minutes each way.
Steep stairs, beaches and age
- Stairs, not a beach descent
- The steps down to Diamond Beach are steep and exposed to the sun. The day tour stays at the clifftop viewpoints unless your group asks otherwise.
- No swimming at Diamond Beach
- Swimming is not allowed there because of the waves and current. Atuh Beach is calmer and sometimes swimmable, when the tide and your guide allow it.
- Who is coming?
- Children can join; published minimum ages range from 4 to 5 years. Some operators advise against guests over 65. The boat steps, uneven ground and heat are the parts to weigh up.

Nusa Penida, Klungkung Regency
The day starts at your hotel and crosses from Sanur to Buyuk Port. The island route covers the east coast: Atuh Beach, Diamond Beach, the Tree House and Thousand Island Viewpoint.

How long does the day take?
Allow 10-11 hours from hotel pickup to hotel drop-off, with about 7-8 hours on the island. The crossing to Buyuk Port takes around 30-45 minutes each way.
What is included in the price?
Hotel pickup and drop-off, round-trip fast boat tickets, a private car and driver, an English-speaking guide, entrance fees to Atuh Beach, Diamond Beach, the Tree House area and Thousand Island Viewpoint, retribution and parking fees, and lunch. Personal expenses, extra drinks, tips and the optional Tree House photo are not included.
How much does the tour cost?
The rate is per person and depends on your group size: IDR 1,700,000 for one guest, IDR 1,300,000 each for two, IDR 1,100,000 each for three, IDR 950,000 each for four and IDR 850,000 each for five. Larger groups are quoted in chat.
Is the Tree House photo included?
Entry to the Tree House area is included. The photo is optional and costs IDR 75,000 per person, paid at the viewpoint. Add it in the booking form to see it in the estimate.
Can we swim at Diamond Beach or Atuh Beach?
Swimming is not allowed at Diamond Beach because of the waves and current. Atuh Beach is calmer and sometimes swimmable, but the tide and your guide decide on the day.
Do I have to walk down to the beaches?
No. The beaches are viewed from the clifftop stairs and viewpoints; the descent to Diamond Beach is steep, exposed and takes time. Tell your guide if you would like to go down and they will advise.
Is the tour suitable for children or older guests?
