    Briefing and sunrise

    Meet your driver for a briefing, then ride to the sunrise viewpoint. Allow around 2.25 hours for this part of the morning.

    Black lava

    Continue by 4WD jeep through Mount Batur’s volcanic black lava landscape.

  4. 08:30

    Return transfer

    Head back toward your hotel after the jeep session. Hotel arrival depends on your location and traffic.

Do I need to hike?

No summit hike is needed. You travel to the sunrise viewpoint and black lava area by 4WD jeep.

What is the difference between Private and Join-in?

Private is reserved for your booking group. Join-in shares the jeep experience with other guests. Both include hotel transfers, the sunrise viewpoint and black lava route.

How much does the tour cost?

Private is IDR 1,400,000 for one guest, IDR 750,000 each for two, IDR 650,000 each for three, and IDR 550,000 each for four or more. Join-in is IDR 700,000 per person. The form accepts requests for 1-20 guests; vehicle arrangements are confirmed for your group.

Are hotel transfers included?

Yes, round-trip hotel transfers are included with both tour types. Provide your hotel name and area in the form. We confirm your exact pickup time before departure.

How long does the tour take?

Allow around 5-6 hours. The example itinerary begins around 03:00, reaches the jeep starting point around 04:45 and visits black lava around 07:00. Return travel begins around 08:30; this is not a guaranteed hotel arrival time.

Can children or older guests join?
